The Dell, Wirral

A mixed scale residential development of an unused brownfield site (formerly The Dell Primary School). This 100% affordable scheme of 61no. dwellings was developed in partnership with Wirral Council and a local housing provider.
The site layout has been designed to work with the natural sloping topography of the area with the dwelling houses arranged into tiered cul-de-sacs. The apartment building has been located on the entrance to the site to work with the existing level changes accommodating a 2-3 storey building with minimal cut and fill required. This creates a gateway into the scheme with a prominent, high quality building fronting on to The Dell. 
The main arterial road and landscaping ribbon has been positioned to the west of the site perimeter in order to provide a buffer between the new dwellings and the Rock Ferry bypass.
