Brimstage Road, Heswall

The design responds to the existing context by using a traditional colour palette of materials in a contemporary way. The predominant materials are red brick with feature sandstone between floors and to the main entrance. Feature gables and projecting bays have been designed to give identity to the individual apartments whilst also incorporating elements of the adjacent properties. The design seeks to create a distinctive quality scheme that is complementary to the character of the existing built environment and has regard to local distinctiveness, as the existing dwellings in the area vary greatly in age, style and character.
