Bidston, Wirral

This project delivered 26no. Extra Care Apartments for elderly residents, all 1 bed dwellings providing an accessible independent living environment, supported by onsite staff and their care facilities.

A brownfield site, which was previously disused and vacant was brought back in to use to provide the local community with a sustainable solution. The development had a focus on all elevations, as it can be seen from 360 degrees on this ‘island site’.

The design promoted good architectural design and enhanced the aesthetic that was present in the local area.  The development was orientated to engage with the existing roads, respecting the existing building lines, whilst forming emphasis and views towards the local church spire adjacent.
